It is too late to book cheap hotels in Las Vegas over Fourth of July weekend but if you can stand to wait an extra week and visit Sin City by the end of July (July 31) then you can get a great room rate at the Monte Carlo. I have stayed here before and it is great place not only for its theme but also because it pretty much dead center on the strip.
The days of cheap hotels in Las Vegas anytime of the year may disappear after the summer in the wake of less bookings and travelers interested in flying to Vegas. A Las Vegas vacation is something taken when looking for some relaxation but with fuel and living costs rising people have less money and time to take one.
My oldest son and his girlfriend recently returned from a fun filled Las Vegas vacation. They spent ten days in that busy city and had a wonderful time. They were able to find cheap hotels in Las Vegas so that their entire spending budget was not spent on accommodations.
